કવિતાકક્ષના ઉપક્રમે ડૉ. જિતુભાઈ વાઢેરના ગઝલસંગ્રહ “એક સદીનો પોરો”નો લોકાર્પણ કાર્યક્રમ અને કવિસંમેલન યોજાયું.
ભાવનગર ખાતે પૂજ્ય આચાર્ય તખ્તસિંહજી પરમારની સ્મૃતિમાં કવિઓ અને કવિતરસિકો માટે કાર્યરત સંસ્થા “કવિતાકક્ષ” દ્વારા જાણીતા કવિ અને જલારામ હાઈસ્કૂલ, પીથલપુરના શિક્ષક ડૉ. જિતુભાઈ વાઢેરના પ્રથમ ગઝલસંગ્રહ “એક સદીનો પોરો”નો લોકાર્પણ કાર્યક્રમ શ્રી કૃષ્ણકુમારસિંહજી અંધ ઉદ્યોગશાળાના સભાખંડમાં યોજાઈ ગયો. ગુજરાત સાહિત્ય અકાદમીની આર્થિક સહાયથી પ્રકાશિત થનાર આ ગઝલસંગ્રહ એ કવિતાકક્ષ પ્રકાશનનું બીજું પુસ્તક છે. આ પ્રસંગે ભાવનગરના અને ગુજરાતી ભાષાના ગૌરવસમાન કવિ ડૉ. વિનોદ જોશી સમારોહનાં અધ્યક્ષસ્થાને હતા. જેમનાં હસ્તે ગઝલસંગ્રહનું વિમોચન કરવામાં આવ્યું. આ પ્રસંગે અતિથિવિશેષ તરીકે કવિ સંજુ વાળા, કવિ પાર્થિવ પરમાર, જ્વલંત છાયા તથા શાળાના પ્રતિનિધિ તરીકે ઘનશ્યામભાઈ બારૈયા ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. વિમોચન કાર્યક્રમનું સંચાલન પ્રા.હિમલ પંડ્યા દ્વારા કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
આ પ્રસંગે આયોજિત કવિસંમેલનમાં જ્વલંત છાયાનાં સંચાલનમાં કવિઓ વિનોદ જોશી, સંજુ વાળા, પથિક પરમાર, સ્નેહી પરમાર, ડૉ. મનોજ જોશી ‘મન’, ડૉ. પરેશ સોલંકી, ડૉ. જિતુભાઈ વાઢેર, રાણા બાવળિયા અને અંજના ગોસ્વામીએ પોતાની કવિતાઓની પ્રસ્તુતિ કરી. શહેરના જાણીતા કવિ-ગાયક ડૉ. ફિરદૌસ દેખૈયા સાંગીતિક પ્રસ્તુતિ કરી. આ અવસરે તાજેતરમાં બોર્ડની પરીક્ષા આપનાર દ્રષ્ટિહીન બાળકોના પેપર લખવામાં મદદરૂપ થનાર બી.એમ.કોમર્સ હાઈસ્કૂલના સેવાભાવી વિદ્યાર્થીઓને પણ ખાસ સન્માનિત કરવામાં આવ્યાં. ભાવનગરનાં કાવ્યરસિકજનોથી સભાખંડ ભરચક હતો. પ્રિ – બુકિંગ અને વિમોચનનાં દિવસે આ પુસ્તકની 230 કોપી વેચાઈ ચૂકી છે. કવિતા અને કવિતાકક્ષનાં કાર્યક્રમમાં આટલા શ્રોતાઓ જોઈ ચિત્રલેખના કટારલેખક જવલંત છાયા એ ભાવનગરની કલારસિક જનતાના વખાણ કર્યાં હતાં.

This collection of ghazals, published with the financial support of Gujarat Sahitya Akademi, is the second book of Kavitakaksh Prakashan. On this occasion, Bhavnagar's and Gujarati language's proud poet Dr. Vinod Joshi presided over the function. By whom the ghazal collection was released. Poet Sanju Vala, Poet Parthiv Parmar, Jwalant Chhaya and Ghanshyambhai Baraiah were present as special guests on this occasion. The release program was conducted by Prof. Himal Pandya.
Poets Vinod Joshi, Sanju Vala, Pathik Parmar, Snehi Parmar, Dr. Manoj Joshi 'Man', Dr. Paresh Solanki, Dr. Jitubhai Vadher, Rana Bavaliya and Anjana Goswami presented their poems. The city's well-known poet-singer Dr. Firdaus Dekhaiya gave a musical performance. On this occasion, the dedicated students of BM Commerce High School who helped in writing the papers of the visually impaired children who appeared for the board exams recently were also felicitated. The hall was full of poets from Bhavnagar. 230 copies of this book have already been sold on the day of pre-booking and release. Javalant Chhaya, columnist of Chitralekh, praised the artistic community of Bhavnagar after seeing so many listeners in the program of poetry and poetry class.
