વિશ્વનાથદત્ત,
કલકત્તા હાઈકોર્ટમાં એટર્ની હતા. બૌધ્ધિક પિતા અને સ્વભાવથી ધાર્મિક માતાની
છત્રછાયામાં, પુત્ર
નરેન્દ્રનાથનો ઉછેર થાય છે. બાળપણમાં જ ઘરના આધ્યાત્મિક વાતાવરણની બાળક
નરેન્દ્રનાથના હૃદયમાં ઊંડી અસર પડે છે.
નરેન્દ્રનાથે પોતાનો અભ્યાસ ઘરેથી શરૂ કર્યો હતો. ત્યાર બાદ ૧૮૭૧માં ઇશ્વર ચન્દ્રવિદ્યાસાગર
સંસ્થામાં અભ્યાસ કર્યો. તેઓ તત્વજ્ઞાન, ઇતિહાસ, સમાજશાસ્ત્ર, સાહિત્ય અને અન્ય વિષયોમાં જ્ઞાન ધરાવતા હતા.
આ ઉપરાંત તેમણે વેદ , ભગવદ્દગીતા ,રામાયણ , મહાભારત અને પુરાણોમાં ઉંડો રસ દાખવ્યો હતો. શાસ્ત્રિયસંગીત
અને ગાયકી બન્નેમાં જાણકાર હતા. નરેન્દ્રનાથે, ૧૮૮૦માં,
કલકત્તા ખાતે, પ્રેસીડેંસી કોલેજમાં પ્રવેશ લીધો હતો. ૧૮૮૧માં તેમણે
લલિતકલાની પરિક્ષા પાસ કરી હતી, તેમજ ૧૮૮૪માં વિનયન સ્નાતકની પરિક્ષા પાસ કરી હતી.
બાળપણથી જ તેઓએ આધ્યાત્મિકતા, અને આધ્યાત્મિક સત્યો જાણવામાં રુચિ દર્શાવી હતી. તેમના પર તે સમયની સંસ્થા બ્રહ્મોસમાજની ઘણી અસર પડી હતી. નવેમ્બર ૧૮૮૧માં રામકૃષ્ણ પરમહંસ સાથેની મુલાકાત તેમની જિન્દગીનો સંક્રાન્તિકાળ પુરવાર થયો. પ્રારંભમાં નરેન્દ્રએ રામકૃષ્ણને ગુરુ તરીકે સ્વીકાર્યા નહોતા. અને તેમના વિચારો સામે બળવો પોકાર્યો હતો. શરૂઆતમાં તેમને ગુરુ રામકૃષ્ણના વિચારોને કલ્પનાના ગુબ્બારા જેવા અને ભ્રામકતા જેવા જ લાગ્યા હતા. બ્રહ્મોસમાજના સભ્ય તરીકે, તેમણે મૂર્તિપૂજા અને રામકૃષ્ણની કાલી માતાની ભક્તિ સામે બળવો કર્યો હતો. તેમણે રામકૃષ્ણની પરીક્ષા લીધી હતી તેમણે નરેન્દ્રની તમામ દલીલો અને પરીક્ષણોનો ધીરજ પુર્વક સામનો કર્યો. ‘‘સત્યને તમામ પાસાઓમાં નિહાળવાનો પ્રયાસ કરયો હતો,’’
રામકૃષ્ણની તાલીમના પાંચ વર્ષ દરમિયાન નરેન્દ્રનું બેચેન, મુંઝાયેલા, યુવાન માંથી એક એવા પરિપક્વ યુવાનમાં પરીવર્તન થયું, જે ઇશ્વરને પામવા માટે તમામ ચીજો છોડી દેવા તૈયાર હતો. આ સમય દરમિયાન, નરેન્દ્રએ રામકૃષ્ણને ગુરુ તરીકે સ્વીકાર્યા અને એક અનુયાયી થયા. ૧૬ ઓગસ્ટ, ૧૮૮૬એ વહેલી સવારે રામકૃષ્ણએ અંતિમશ્વાસ લીધા. ૧૮૮૮માં વિવેકાનંદ પરિવ્રાજક બન્યા. ‘‘કોઈ પણ નિશ્ચિત ઘર વિનાના, સંબંધો વિનાના,’’ ભ્રમણ કરતા સાધુનું હિન્દુ ધાર્મિક જીવન એટલે પરિવ્રાજક. નરેન્દ્રનાથે ભારતના ચારે ખૂણામાં 5 વર્ષ સુધી પ્રવાસો કર્યો, શિક્ષણના મુખ્ય કેન્દ્રોની મુલાકાત લીધી, અને સમગ્ર ભારતનું ભ્રમણ કર્યું.
દેશ વિદેશમાં પણ પોતાની નામના મેળવી . તેમના ફોલોવરના
લિસ્ટમાં મહાન વ્યક્તિઓ જેવા કે ગાંધીજી, નહેરુજી, રવીન્દ્રનાથ ટાગોર જેવા લોકો તેને ફોલો કરતા હતા. હા આપડે
વાત કરી રહિયા છીએ સ્વામીવિવેકાનંદજી વિશે. તેમણે કર્મ યોગા, ધર્મ યોગા,રાજ યોગા,
જેવી ઘણી પુસ્તકો લખી, દેશને અને યુવાનોને એક નવી રાહ દેખાડી.
તેમના જીવનની ખાસ 3 વાત જે દરેકને આગળ વધવાની પ્રેરણા
આપે છે, પહેલી વાત (બી ફિયરલેસ) સ્વામીજી સાંભળેલી વાત ને માનતા નહિ. તે પોતે
અનુભવ કરતા, તે એવું માનતા કે ડર થી માણસ આગળ નથી વધી શકતો. તો તમારો ડર દૂર કરો
અને આગળ વધો.
2 બીજી વાત (બિલિવ યોર સેલ્ફ) તમારી જાત પર ખુબજ
વિશ્વાસ રાખો . સ્વામીજીએ ગુરુના વિચારોને તકલીફો સહન કરી ને પણ દેશના ખૂણે ખૂણે
પહોચાડ્યા. સ્વામીજીને પોતાના પર ખુબજ વિશ્વાસ હતો . જુલાઈ૧૮૯૩માં શિકાગોમાં
ધર્મસંસદમાં ભાગ લેવા આવ્યા. તો સંમેલન 2 મહિના મોડું થયું, તો પણ બે મહિના તકલીફો સહન કરી, ત્યા જ રહયા,
અને ૧૧ સપ્ટેમ્બર ૧૮૯૩ના રોજ શિકાગો ખાતે ધર્મસંસદની શરૂઆત થઈ. જેમાં ભારત તરફથી સ્વામીજીએ પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કર્યું. આ દિવસે વિવેકાનંદે પોતાનું પ્રથમ ટૂંકુ વક્તવ્ય આપ્યું. તેમણે ભારત અને હિન્દુધર્મ વિશે વાત કરી. પોતાનું વક્તવ્યની
શરૂવાત અમેરિકાના ભાઈઓ તથા બહેનો!" સાથે કરી. આ શબ્દો માટે સાત
હજારની મેદનીએ ઉભા થઈને તાળીઓ પાડીને તેમનું સન્માન કર્યુ, બે મિનિટ સુધી આ સન્માન
ચાલ્યુ. આ .ટૂંકુંવક્તવ્ય
હોવા છતાં, વિવેકાનંદનું આ વક્તવ્ય આજે પણ વિશ્વવિખ્યાત
છે. તમારી પાસે બધી જ વસ્તુ છે, પણ ખુદ પર વિશ્વાસ નથી તો કદી જીતી નહીં શકો, તો મિત્રો
ખુદ પર વિશ્વાસ રાખો.
3 જી વાત (બી ધ મેન ઓફ યોર વર્લ્ડસ) તેમની વાત અને કામ માં કોઈ ડિફ્રરન્સ નહોતો. સ્વામીજી જેવું બોલતા એવું જ કામ કરતા . એક વાત એવી બની કે ફોરેનની એક મહિલાએ સ્વામીજીને એવું કહીયું કે મારે તમારી સાથે લગ્ન કરવા છે. સ્વામીજીએ કારણ પૂછું તો મહિલાએ જણાવ્યું કે તમારી સાથે લગ્ન કરી તમારી જેવો તેજસ્વી એક દીકરો મારે જોયે છે. તો સ્વામીજી એ તરત જ જવાબ આપ્યો કે હું તમારો દીકરો બની જાવ. મહિલા એ સ્વામીજી ને સલામ કર્યા.
યુરોપથી પાછા ફરી ૧ મે ૧૮૯૭ના રોજ કલકત્તા ખાતે "રામકૃષ્ણમઠ" ધર્મના પ્રચાર માટેની સંસ્થા અને "રામકૃષ્ણમિશન" દ્વારા જનસમૂહને મદદ કરવાની શરૂઆત હતી. રામકૃષ્ણમિશનને અનુલક્ષીને તેમના સતત પ્રવાસો, વક્તવ્યોએ સ્વાસ્થ્યનો
ભોગ લીધો. તેઓ અસ્થમા, ડાયાબિટિસ અને અન્ય શારીરિક
બિમારીઓથી પિડાતા હતા. અવસાનના થોડા દિવસ
પૂર્વે તેઓ ધ્યાન પૂર્વક પંચાંગનો અભ્યાસ કરતા જોવાયા હતા.
અવસાનના ત્રણ દિવસ પહેલા તેમણે અંતિમક્રિયાનું સ્થળ જણાવ્યું હતું અને આ સ્થળે
આજે તેમની યાદમાં બનાવેલ મંદિર પણ છે.
જુલાઈ ૪, ૧૯૦૨ના રોજ નવ વાગીને દસ મિનિટે ધ્યાના વસ્થામાં વિવેકાનંદજીનું અવસાન
થયું હતું. તેમના અનુયાયીઓના મતે મહાસમાધિ હતી. તેમના શિષ્યોએ નોંધ્યુ હતું, કે સ્વામીના મોઢા પાસે નસકોરામાં
અને આંખોમાં "થોડુલોહી" તેમણે જોયુ હતું. ડોક્ટરોના
મતે મગજમાં લોહીની નળી ફાટી જવાથી આમ થયુ હતું, પરંતુ મૃત્યુનું
સાચુ કારણ તેઓ શોધી શક્યા નહોતા.
આજે પણ સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદજીના જન્મદિવસને 'યુવાદિવસ' તરીકે ઉજવાય છે. તેઓ એક સાચા
દેશભક્ત હતા, લોકોની મદદ કરવામાં તેમણે ક્યારેય પિછેહઠ કરી નથી. લોકોની સેવા કરવી અને ઇશ્વરની પૂજા કરવી તેઓ બંને સરખુ માનતા
હતા. સ્વામી વિવેકાનંદના વિચારોથી આજે પણ લાખો યુવાનો પ્રેરણા લે
છે.
સ્વામીવિવેકાનંદના વિચારો:
- જે સમયે જે કામનો સંકલ્પ કરો તે કામને એ જ સમયે પૂર્ણ કરો નહીં તો લોકો તમારા પર
વિશ્વાસ નહીં કરે.
- જીવનમાં વધારે સંબંધો હોવા જરૂરી નથી પણ જે સંબંધો છે તેમાં જીવન હોવુ વધારે જરૂરી
છે.
- દિવસમાં એક વાર પોતાની જાત સાથે વાત કરો નહીંતો દુનિયાના સૌથી મહત્વપૂર્ણ વ્યક્તિ
સાથે વાત કરવાનો અવસર જતો રહેશે.
- દિલ અને મગજ વચ્ચેના ટકરાવમાં હમેંશા દિલનું સાંભળો.
- ખુદને ક્યારેક કમજોર સમજવું સૌથી મોટું પાપ છે.
- ઉઠો જાગો અને ધ્યેય પ્રાપ્તિ સુધી મંડ્યા રહો.
- જે આગ આપણને ગરમી આપે છે તે આગ આપણો નાશ પણ કરી શકે છે.

Narendra Nath Dutt ..., Narendra's father Vishwanath Dutt was an attorney in the Calcutta High Court. Son Narendranath is brought up under the umbrella of an intellectual father and a religious mother by nature. The spiritual atmosphere of the home has a profound effect on the heart of the child Narendranath in his childhood. Narendranath started his studies from home. Then in 191 Ishwar studied at Chandravidyasagar Institute. He had knowledge in philosophy, history, sociology, literature and other subjects. Apart from this he showed keen interest in Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas. He was well versed in both classical music and singing. Narendranath was admitted to the Presidency College, Calcutta, in 1905. In 191, he passed the fine arts examination, and in 19, he passed the Vinayan graduation examination. From an early age they were interested in spirituality, and in knowing spiritual truths. He was greatly influenced by the Brahmo Samaj of that time. The meeting with Ramakrishna Paramahansa in November 191 proved to be a turning point in his life. Initially Narendra did not accept Ramakrishna as his guru. And rebelled against his ideas. At first he thought that Guru Ramakrishna's thoughts were like balloons of imagination and illusions. As a member of Brahmosamaj, he rebelled against idolatry and devotion to Kali Mata of Ramakrishna. He took Ramakrishna's test. He patiently faced all the arguments and tests of Narendra. "Trying to see the truth in all its aspects." During the five years of Ramakrishna's training, Narendra was transformed from a restless, confused, young man into a mature young man who was ready to give up everything for the sake of God. During this time, Narendra accepted Ramakrishna as his guru and became a follower. Ramakrishna breathed his last in the early morning of August 15, 19. Vivekananda became a Parivrajaka in 19. Parivrajaka is the Hindu religious life of a wandering monk, "without a fixed home, without relationships." Narendranath toured all four corners of India for 5 years, visited major centers of learning, and toured all over India. The country also got its name abroad. He was followed by great personalities like Gandhiji, Nehruji, Rabindranath Tagore in his list of followers. Yes, we are talking about Swami Vivekanandaji. He wrote many books like Karma Yoga, Dharma Yoga, Raj Yoga, showing a new hope to the country and the youth. Experiencing himself, he believed that man could not move forward out of fear. So remove your fear and move on. 2 Second (Believe Yourself) Be very confident in yourself. Swamiji endured hardships and spread Guru's thoughts to all corners of the country. Swamiji had great faith in himself. Arrived in Chicago on July 17 to attend the Parliament. The convention was delayed by two months, but after two months of difficulties, it remained there, and on September 11, 19, the Parliament began in Chicago. In which Swamiji represented from India. On this day Vivekananda gave his first short speech. He talked about India and Hinduism. He began his speech with "Brothers and Sisters of America!". A crowd of 7,000 stood up and applauded and honored him for these words. The honor lasted for two minutes. Returning from Europe, on 1 May 19, the organization for the propagation of the "Ramakrishna Math" religion and the "Ramakrishna Mission" began to help the masses in Calcutta. His constant travels, speeches pertaining to Ramakrishna Mission took a toll on health. He was suffering from asthma, diabetes and other physical ailments.
